I will play my role

Beyond Blue leverages community engagement via sporting club partnerships to promote mental health amongst communities. Our idea was to use the fact that every player has a specific role to play in their team on the field but can also have a role to play in helping others who are going through an emotionally tough time on and off the field.

We asked the question “What role will you play?” as a tagline to support the headlines that were created to inform, educate and help start a conversation with someone that was struggling. This conversation could not be a more important and led to incredible unity and engagement across participating elite and grassroots

sporting clubs. Players and fans alike engaged in the conversation to play their role as mental wellness advocates within their communities.
